《戰神：弒神自封》已經發售了，不知道大家都玩到沒有。不過細心的戰神粉絲玩家們發現了一些有趣的東西。在某一章節的油畫當中，玩家們發現了一些隱藏着的密碼，鑒於廣大玩家對《戰神》系列的狂熱，於是大量玩家開始研究這個密碼與油畫。
「Of all the prophecies I have seen, this one haunts my dreams,」 （在所有我所能看到的預言當中，這個預言在我夢中縈繞），緊接着跟着一連串的 「QUJIKPHIUEEEKMJQUJ」 ，之後又寫道： 「The full truth of this nightmare yet remains hidden. – Aletheia.」（噩夢的真相仍舊不為人們所知） – Aletheia（這個詞語來源於希臘語，譯為真相）
有趣的是，人們用不同的語言版本玩遊戲時，出現的一連串代碼是不一樣的，於是玩家們絞盡腦汁開始對密碼進行破譯。他們發現了重復的各種各樣的密碼順序，最後得出了一個詞語 Bird(不死飛鳥），這是Phoenix（鳳凰，譯為重生）的代稱嘛？，在《戰神3》的最後，有一隻鳳凰，不是嗎？
於是有很多玩家又將其他的破譯出的文字聯繫到了Mithras（密特拉神）的身上。傳說，密特拉出生於岩石當中，是波斯神話中的光明之神。在描繪中，他曾參加過太陽神的宴會，身邊常常縈繞着各種動物，包括獅子，也有古代圖標記錄着這位神靈屠宰公牛的事跡。
經過比照，果然如此，密碼對應英文版中出現的「QUJIKPHIUEEEKMJQUJ」 含義實為：「太陽 飛鳥 公牛 雄獅 太陽」。
也許，這僅僅是是一種猜測。不過，至少這種破譯方式可以得到一些有價值的情報，更何況，這種破譯方式勝任於不同語言版本的遊戲中，或許真的是正確的破譯方式。
所以，奎爺也許不是下一代的主人公了，又或許波斯的光明之神再次將奎爺從棺材里面挖出來也說不定。無論下一代是誰，可以設想都將會是《戰神》系列的全新開始，之前的訪談中，聖莫妮卡工作室也認為PS4將很好的進一步推動《戰神》系列。
